Shadefix, formerly OptiTrac Global Peak, is a software-based shadow management system that optimizes energy yields. SMA Smart Connected is a system that enables SMA to automatically monitor all connected inverters.

Easy & fast installation

With only 9kg, the inverter is very lightweight, making it easy and quick to install. There is no need for an extra mounting bracket because the inverter can be fixed with only two screws. The installation is easily completed by accessing the integrated user interface with a device. This can be done, for example, via a smartphone, but also via a tablet, laptop or desktop.

Shadefix

OptiTrac Global Peak is the old name for what SMA now calls Shadefix. The Sunny Boy 2.0 is one of the many inverters equipped with this system. Shadefix is perfect for systems with light to medium shading. It does not require any additional components, which in turn saves costs. Due to Shadefix’s operation, solar cells that yield less due to shadow will be avoided, so that all other cells are not hindered, but are used optimally.

SMA Smart Connected

SMA Smart Connected is a fully automatic system from SMA. Once the inverter has been installed and logged on, SMA continuously monitors the inverter. In the event of malfunctions, a message will be sent and action can be taken. If a replacement inverter is required, it will be delivered within 1 to 3 days after diagnosis.
