The Sunny Boy 2.5 is a compact and with only 9kg a lightweight inverter. It is quick and easy to install. The integrated software helps both with this and monitoring afterwards. Optimization for partially shaded systems is also standard by Shadefix. Previously this was OptiTrac Global Peak. SMA also monitors almost all connected inverters automatically by means of Smart Connected.

Easy & fast installation

Fixing the Sunny Boy 2.5 only requires two screws, partly due to its low weight and compact size. As a result, no additional mounting material is required. Completion of the installation, after installation of the inverter itself, is done by approaching the integrated user interface. Any smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop can be used for this purpose.

Shadefix

Shadefix is an existing system of SMA, but formerly known as OptiTrac Global Peak. For light to medium shading Shadefix is the perfect built-in solution. This saves costs because no additional parts are needed. Shadefix ensures that shaded solar cells that normally limit the operation and yield of other solar cells are optimized.

SMA Smart Connected

With Smart Connected, SMA has a fully automated system for monitoring inverters. As soon as an inverter performs less than usual, for whatever reason, a message will automatically be sent to the parties involved. These parties can then get started. In case a replacement inverter is needed, it will be delivered within 1 to 3 days.
